Balvinder Dang is the Founder and CEO of Datavid, a London-based data intelligence firm specializing in enterprise platforms powered by NLP, semantic technologies, and machine learning for sectors like life sciences, publishing, and banking.
His career began at Infosys as a programmer and Technology Lead on Java, J2EE, and MarkLogic projects for Fortune 500 clients, followed by roles at Yell Group, John Wiley and Sons—where he earned a team award for Wiley Online Library search—and Reed Elsevier as an Application Architect using AWS and Elasticsearch. At MarkLogic, he rose to Technical Manager, leading data platform teams and delivering a £30B+ UK government data hub that saved over £10M. Since founding Datavid in 2018, he has driven innovations like Datavid Rover for cognitive search and compliance in unstructured data, backed by a team of 80+ experts serving R&D and regulated industries. He holds a B.Tech in Computer Science from Doctor Ram Manohar Lohia Awadh University (2000-2004).
